I've eaten here twice, and had a good experience both times. It has a very stripped-down, no-frills atmosphere; almost like eating at a diner. The menu was initially kind of off-putting, because the number of options is sheer overkill. While listed as a Cajun seafood restaurant, they also offer American Chinese dishes, and an odd variety of appetizers. These include everything from buffalo wings to calamari. I was on a budget the first time I visited, so I went with the fried fish basket. It was pretty straightforward, but fresh and flavorful. The second time, I tried a dish called Get Your Hands Dirty. It was basically a seafood boil, with lobster tail, shrimp, sausage, two red potatoes, and a small piece of corn on the cob. This was all served in a plastic bag, with my choice of seasoning. Options included Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper. You can choose the degree of spiciness, from mild to extra hot. I should also add that there were are several choices of protein available, including crab, clams, and mussels. In the end, everything was cooked properly and tasted good. If my caveats don't bother you, definitely check out Michael's.
Excellent seafood boil and great price if you do the daily special. Also have a good Chinese variety for the selective eaters.
This is an area of many choices for your food dollar. First of all, it has just opened so delays should be expected. If you can be patient, it's worth the wait. The spices and food quality are on point. Expect to pay around $20 for the really good stuff but it's a ton of food. They'll iron the kinks out but I promise I'll be back. Best bet is the boiled offerings including lobster, crab and shrimp. If you're worried about the wait, a takeout order is solid.
I gotta tell you, this might be the best meal i've had for the price in a while. We combined the garlic butter and cajun sauce for the crab and shrimp combo and it was heavenly! truly such a fantastic meal, cannot wait to wait to be back! P.S, the combo only comes with one corn, so if you're sharing you may be fighting each other for it
